If I've learned one thing so far about children...

I've learned just as soon as ya think you have their routine figured out they CHANGE. LOL!! LeAnne has been boycotting naps -- only takes one or two decent naps during the day, but get this she slept from 9pm until 5:30 am last night! I woke up at 4am freaked out because I expected her to be up by 11pm to eat since her last bottle was at 6:30pm. I went down to check on her and she was sleeping on her tummy which is a first too. She's in her bouncer now just as happy as can be. She is playing with her pony, bouncing and sqealing up a storm. Her tummy muscles are getting really strong -- she can almost sit up in her bouncer and can sit up on the floor with the help of the bobby for support. I've made the decision though she's not allowed to get any older than 8, well maybe 10. Good luck to me eh. LOL!! I can't believe Amanda will be 15 April 8th. WOW! We really hope she can come see us for a month this summer. Gotta jet. Love ya'll

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! He has risen! :-) We had a very nice Easter. LeAnne & I went to church in Starbuck, WA. LeAnne got all dressed up in the beautiful dress my sister got for her. She looks like such a little girl. Today was the first time I left her in the nursery during church service. My stomach was in knots the whole time. We survived and she did well with the girls in the nursery. WHEW! After Church the H. tribe (my sister's family) and some friends came to our house for dinner. It was YUMMY! It is really nice to be near my sister and her family again. Unfortunately John had to work today and we really missed him! Another bit of good news -- the H's were able to worked together and get our bed upstairs. Tonight will be the first night we sleep upstairs in our own room. Plus no remodeling for a bit -- SWEET! Though this mama isn't looking forward to the many night time trips up and down the stairs to check on lil one. I found a doctor in Walla Walla for LeAnne, she has her 6 month appointment scheduled April 17th. WOW can ya belive she'll be 6 months. EEKS! This mama is exhausted so good night ya'll! I'll upload the pictures of LeAnne in her dress tomorrow -- tonight it's not working.

Poor girl -- She was feeling a bit under the weather today -- runny nose, sneezing, coughing and a bit raspy. We had a lazy day ~ napping and cuddling together most of the day. She was feeling better by this evening. We will just keep a close eye on her.

LeAnne was 5 months old yesterday

OMGosh where has the time gone? I can't believe our baby girl is 5 months old already! I have learned a lot in these 5 months and one thing is for sure -- as soon as I figure out her routine she changes it up on me. It's her job to keep her mama guessing. She's has a pretty set nap schedule in the mornings but yesterday she was not going down for a nap for anything after her morning bath. Ahhhhhhh!! A lot of times it feels like parenthood is one big experiment and I just do what works best for LeAnne. She's a precious one that's for sure. She was extra grumpy yesterday afternoon but I was still able to get to laughing -- what a sweet sound that is. She is so ticklish. So what fun new things is she up to these days? Top on the list is the squealing -- oh man the squealing. Daddy calls her his alarm clock. She has different squeals though - her I am having fun hearing my voice squeal and the I am one MAD lil girl squeal. She loves her jumper activity center - has figured out how to turn to get to all the toys and is starting to jump a little. She is reaching out for what she wants. She can hold things with both hands. She is starting to like to explore her face and our faces. She is starting to be able to sit up with a lot of help of course. I think she has teeth coming in cause she drools a lot and wants to chew on everything. She's doing better at eating her cereal and fruit but still isn't so sure she likes it one bit. She loves being outside. She is quite the rolling machine and scoots on her belly once in a while. It is wonderful being close to my sister and nieces! We sure do miss Grandma and auntie Katie! We miss Grandpa and Grandma Elaine too -- it is so COOL they call us one a week to chat. Cousin Nataly we miss you -- come visit SOON! I hear cousin Alissa will be visiting in April along with Grandma Nana -- SWEET!!!! I am working on finding a Dr for her as she will need 6 months shots April 11th and we wanna get them done when daddy is off work. John is LOVING his job. He starts working nights next week and switches back to days the week before he goes to the Police academy April 20th. 5 weeks without daddy -- :-( -- that will be rough but we have to be tough girls. Must sign off for now -- lil girl is fast asleep in her bouncer. I'll post new pictures soon. Love ya'll!!!

The Little Pink Dress

I wanted to make sure to get some pictures of LeAnne in the adorable little pink dress that Laura got for her before she outgrew it. She has a little room left so I might be able to get some more pictures of her in it early spring. We need to capture more of the details of the dress so we will try again but this time lil missy was done with pictures. Of course Gracie had to get in on the photo shoot and LeAnne loves her puppies so we got some cute pictures. Thank-you so much for this adorable dress Laura!!! :-)

Late night with LeAnne

Oh boy lil miss LeAnne has discovered a new pitch and loudness to her voice! She's a squealer. It rather funny...even at 1:30am. She seems to squeal and blow rasberries a lot when she is trying to keep herself awake. She has been going down for a nap between 5-6pm, then she is up around 11pm, eats and is down until morning (between 3am-6am). Well last night was the exception ~ She didn't nap well at all the whole day. I think she is going through another phase where she wants to be up longer but her body is adjusting. Long story short John & I were off to bed but lil girl had other plans. She woke up around 12:30 and didn't know if she wanted to play, eat or sleep. On top of that she has been sleeping very light, waking up a lot crying, and being in the same room as her now for the time being until our bed can get upstairs I am up evertime. Most of the time I can give her her binky and she goes back to sleep but it certainly doesn't leave a very rested mama. Thank God I've not gone back to work yet. Good times!
