Leonard Family on the move...

There is never a dull moment in the Leonard house... My husband has accepted a position as a Federal Police Officer at the VA Hospital in Walla Walla, Washington so our family is on the move! This is a HUGE answered prayer! He has wanted to get back into Police work for a long time, and he will also be eiligble for a federal retirement in 7 years because after 9/11 Federal time counts year for year with military time towards retirement. More exciting news...We are in the process of buying our first home in Dayton, Washington. http://www.windermere.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Listing.ListingDetail&ListingID=18424210 We will be living 20 miles from my sister and look forward to raising LeAnne in a small town. We are also in the process of helping my mom get her house sold so she can move as well.

John's tenative start date is Feb. 25th, we are waiting on his 'official' letter of employment so the underwriter can finish up our loan paper work but hope the house closed by Feb 11th and we hope to be moving over there the weekend of Feb 15th. Whew it's been a whirl wind!!!

Moving with a baby is definately interesting but it could be worse..she could be walking..underfoot and into everything. LOL!! She really is a good baby. Well lots of running around to do today so gotta jet. I'll write a lil update for LeAnne here soon... Lots of love!!

One precious girl coming up...

I am so in love with my daughter! She's one precious, beautiful and amazing little princess! She is smiling at us a lot more. I know she recognizes John and I. Mama can even get LeAnne to laugh by kissing on her belly! She is reaching for things, getting very strong in her kicking, holding up her head, and she can even scoot herself along on her belly though she hasn't quite figured out how to bring her arms along too. She loves sitting up so the bouncer can frustrate her at times because she can't pull herself up. She likes to sit up between our legs or in her swing. The swing has been the magic ticket lately for getting her to sleep when she's having a rough time. Though yesterday left mama wishin LeAnne came with a manual because all day long was a constant struggle to figure out what was gonna make her happy. YIKES! Daddy was a gem and made dinner so mama could get 5 minutes of rest before the next round of what does LeAnne want. I love her to pieces but I was never so happy to see her go to bed last night! Thank God she slept from 9pm until 3am! Mama needed that rest! So far today has started well -- she ate 5 ounces and fell back to sleep. Whew! Here's to today being a better day!

Yahoooo LeAnne slept thru the night!!

WOWSA our girl is AMAZING!! She slept from 11pm to 6:30am Saturday night!! SWEET! I woke up at 5am and was like HUH? So of course I checked on her to see she was okay... She was fine though once again I put her to bed on her side in her infant positioner and she was on her back with her head in the middle of the infant positioner wiggling away to the bottom of her crib. Our lil inch worm! :-) As I type she's been asleep since around 11pm ish last night. WOW what a good girl!!

LeAnne's is now 3 months old

Must do this really quick, lil girl is stirring but get this she slept from 11pm until 6am last night! WOWSA! She is making tons of new sounds, is smiling at us a lot more, is starting to laugh more, she is getting so strong, she's holding her head up during tummy time really good, she can scoot on her belly if we help hold her legs and put her arms under her, she's quite the lil inch worm in her bed, not sure how she does it but I put her in one spot and she's at the end of the bed in the morning. We took her to Sears yesterday to have her first professional picutres done. She did very well. If you would like to see the pictures send me an e-mail and I'll send them to you. John and I took some pictures of her before we left just in case she was in a really bad mood. The one where I am smiling big, it was funny cause John was being silly trying to get LeAnne to look at him. :-) Our girl is growing so fast. We are so blessed!!

Happy Birthday to Mama - Life has changed just a little...

Happy birthday to me! I am 32 today, or I will be around 2pm this afternoon. :-) Oh boy how life has changed just a tad from this time last year. I know I wasn't up at this time last year, that's for sure! LOL!! LeAnne slept from 9:30pm until 1:30am, was up for a bottle, had a nasty diaper, I rocked her back to sleep and now she's sound asleep in her own bed. Wahooooo!! I thought I'd take a minute to upload a few cute pictures of my favorite people and blog a little. This time last year I remember taking a walk in the snow with my hubby, and the conversation we had about moving forward with infertilty treatments. Neither of us thought it would happy so quickly. If ya would have told me I'd have almost 3 month old I certainly would have doubted. Gone are the carefree days of sleeping in, going someplace without planning, cleaning the house without interuption, eating dinner as a couple, and the heart ache from not being able to have a child. My days are filled with the beautiful sound of baby babble, the occassional I am ticked, hungry or wet cry, the sweetest smile I've even seen, naps with my own sweet smelling heater, and new experiences every day. LeAnne is such a beautiful blessing in our lives! I LOVE being a mama! It's been an awsome life change! I am so thankful for the helpful advice from my family. My mama, sister, and auntie Katie have been live savers! I hope my mama comes home soon, I miss her. She's been in the hospital since Sunday. Okay I am pretty sure I was going someone where with this entry but I need to get back to bed. Today I have to get our house picked up because we have family from Arizona coming to visit. I am not sure what's on tap for my b-day. I may just get my fave Papa Murphy's pizza and then have John and LeAnne take me out to Cold Stone for dessert. YUMMY!! John has promised me a nice dinner out when we feel comfortable having someone watch LeAnne. :-) The pictures I have attatched - The purple shirt says Jesus Loves me - it was a gift from my friend Amy in California. I LOVE it! We hope to return to church this Sunday. I already read LeAnne bible stories and we sing bible songs all the time. Jana Alayra rocks!! The other pictues are of LeAnne waking up with daddy. We love the way she stretches. Daddy loves his little girl so much. I pray they have a special relationship always!! Okay this mama is off to bed. I'll post some 3 month pictures and an update on LeAnne on Friday or this weekend. We are taking her to have her first professional pictures on Saturday at Sears. I am so excited!! love ya!!

2008 is off to a GREAT start

LeAnne took all her naps and slept the whole night in her own crib last night! Now of course mama, Gracie and Bella slept in the room with her to make sure she did okay. :-) Today is off to a great start..it's 10:30am -- LeAnne's had a bath, I had a shower and LeAnne is down for a nap and sleeping hard so mama might be able to do a few things or novel idea enjoy a cup of coffee. LOL!! I love being a mama! LeAnne is such a beautiful girl and I am constantly amazed as I watch her developing into a lil person. John said the other day "she sure is getting good at telling us what she likes and dislikes". Hee hee! John and I are so excited to be going back to church this Sunday. LeAnne will be going into the nursery. Well I am sure there was more I wanted to say but it escapes my right now and I need to get going so I can make the most of nappy time. :-) Here are a few pictures I've taken in the last few days. Love ya'll

LeAnne is asleep in her own bed!

LeAnne's bassinet is getting to small for her so mama made the leap today and put her in her own bed. EEKS! She took a nap there this afternoon and now she is sound asleep in her own bed for the night. She is doing well -- mama on the other hand... The baby monitor is right next to me and I am might sleep in her room tonight. I pray 2008 is an amazing year for all my family and friends!!! I know this year will be full of firsts and a lot of adventure for The Leonard family.
