Father's Day weekend

We had an amazing father's day weekend!  My Dad and his wife came to stay with us.  We checked out the cars at our towns annual classic car show called All Wheels Weekend, had a very nice visit with my sister & her family, enjoyed visiting with Dad and Elaine, and John got some much needed guy time with my Dad.  I am very thankful for the relationship my Dad and I have built and his words of encouragement mean the world to me. I am so incredibly blessed to have married a man who is an amazing daddy!  Leanne is definitely a daddy's girl and I pray they stay close as she grows up.  Here are some fun pictures from this weekend at All Wheels Weekend.  One day I will own a Ford Mustang!  I want a black Ford Mustang with some withe and baby pink accents. I have said for years that I may be old and only able to drive it slowly around the drive way but I will own one. :-)  Well I am being paged.  Stay tune for potty training take 2 post. :-)

Step into Summer Blog Party

Felicia from Go Graham Go and Piera from Jolly Mom have teamed up for a fun blog party!!! Dont miss out on the fun as we all "Step into the Summer".

For 6 extra entries into every giveaway in the Step into Summer even Felicia & Piera would like fellow bloggers to share a favorite summer memory.  Summer is my favorite time of the year so I will share a few of my best memories in no particular order.

Summer 2004 Amanda accepted Jesus as her Savior & was baptized!  I'll never forget leading her in the prayer to invite Jesus into her heart!

Summer 2006 John, Amanda & I went to San Diego for a week.  That was our best family vacation EVER!  Thanks to Grammy Sally we stayed at the awesome World Mark/Trend West resort.  We were able to visit the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, visited some beautiful beaches and even made an interesting trip to Mexico.

Summer 2008 - Amanda came to visit us in our new home in small town America.  I loved this summer because I was able to spend time watching Amanda get to know her little sister, LeAnne.

This summer has just begun so my favorite memory thus far has to be hands down this weekend because I got to spend Father's day weekend with my dad.  It was a lot of fun talking with dad and I particularly love that LeAnne enjoyed getting to know her grandpa. This weekend was our annual All Wheels Weekend in town, here is my dream car. :-)

New beginings, LeAnne learning lettings & jumping fun

I am very excited to say I think we've found ourselves a new church! We almost didn't make it there due to princess throwing a major temper tantrum right as we got ready to walk out the door, John said "it's up to you", I said kiddo do ya know how much mama needs to be in church this morning, wiped her face and out the door we went.  We went to First Christian Church, which is just on the other side of town, took us all of 5 minutes to drive there. :-)  Everyone was very friendly, worship was awesome and the message great!  LeAnne was excited to stay in the nursery.  We talked to the nursery workers for a bit about her and our trials at the other church.  I gave LeAnne a kiss as we left and said "have fun", and she told me to "Have fun".  The whole service I kept waiting for someone to come get me.  When the service was over I felt like giving John a high 5!  Yahooo we made it through our first whole church service together since LeAnne was born!  When we went to pick her up she was in a great mood, kept playing as we talked with the nursery workers and then started to tell us about all the fun she had. She came home in a great mood, played nicely then put herself down for a nap. So far we like all we've seen at this church.  It's small, but they have a lot of new technology and a more contemporary service like we are used to.  I look forward to going again next week.

Here is our video I captured of LeAnne learning her letters this week.  She loves learning and asks questions all the time.  It's so much fun watching her learn.

Here is a video of LeAnne jumping on our $5 garage sale trampoline score this weekend.  She loves jumping! I took the video of her jumping this morning before she got dressed.  The only way I got her to eat breakfast was to tell her she could go jumping after she ate and got dressed. :-)  Notice her telling me "no no, no, get inside" this is her way of tell me she doesn't want to be video taped. LOL! That's our girl.

John has an appointment with the neurologist on Tuesday and hopes to be cleared back to full duty.  The surgery was a huge success.  The only hiccup is the fact is headaches are back.  I pray we can get to the bottom of what is causing them.  I am so thankful he's not in so much pain.

One thing the Pastor said today that hit home was "We are already holy through Jesus so we need to live that way"  I am very excited to be apart of a church body again and start learning and growing again. It also struck me that the pastor used an analogy I posted about on Facebook this week.  I was having a rough morning so I posted " I think I can, I think I can and the pastor said so many times we find on our own that we can't but with God we CAN!  Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Mathew 19:26.
