She's growing & developing so fast!

OMGosh right before my eyes LeAnne is getting bigger and doing something new everyday! I packed up most of her newborn clothes this weekend and at 11 weeks she is wearing 0-3 month and 3 month clothes now. Her big accomplishment today was grabbing daddy's lip. It was wild, she had just finished eating, I was filling her finger nails while daddy held her, and all of a sudden she grabs his lip and hangs on tight. WOW! She has found her fists, she is reaching for her toys and her paccifier, she is following sounds, turns her head when she hears daddy and she's smiling a lot more. Daddy has been playing peek-a-boo with her and she's not quite sure what to make of that game yet. I've been reading to her and singing bible songs while she is playing. When she is having a hard night we sing and dance to her bible song CD's. We are doing more and more tummy time and her neck is getting so strong. She is sleeping much, much better too. She cat naps during the day, with one or two longer naps and then at night she is sleeping anywhere from 4 to 6 hours at a time. John & I had a gift cert and some money from a relative so we enjoyed a to go meal from Olive Garden tonight -- get this -- we got to eat a hot meal -- TOGETHER while lil girl was taking a nap. It was a lot of fun!!! I am so proud of our little girl!! She really is a very very good little girl! The wheels fall off occasionally (our term for when she has a major melt down) but all in all we've been blessed with a good baby. WOW how did 11 weeks go by so fast. I am so thankful God blessed us with the miracle of our daughter!

So blessed we R! LeAnne's 1st Christmas

WOW how blessed are we!! We had a beautiful Christmas! The only thing that could make it more perfect was if our Amanda girl was with us. LeAnne and I woke daddy up at 7am, let him get some coffee and then we opened presents. I had so much fun opening LeAnne's gifts - so excited daddy said hey let me open a few...oops! The pups enjoyed their new toys as well... it's so fun to have dogs that love their toys. Daddy spoiled mama again this year! Daddy was one happy guy too! LeAnne got a bath, and then off to spend the day at Grandma Marcia's house. We had a lot of fun just hanging out with mom, it was very relaxing. LeAnne was such a good girl, everyone enjoyed spending time with her and she even took a wee lil nap in her crib at grandma's. The weather man had been forcasting a chance of snow and what do ya know early afternoon it did begin to snow. How cool...LeAnne's first Christmas was a white Christmas. We talked to Amanda on the phone briefly and look forward to seeing her in February if not before. It sure was odd not to have her with us, the first time in 6 years, we missed her. We headed home around 6pm when LeAnne began to melt, needing some quiet, and her own house. As we headed home John and I were able to make a few detours to look at lights before our girl comepletely lost it. We feel so incredibly blessed and look forward to future Christmas seasons.

Recap of 2007

2007 was a year full of surprises and answered prayers. One day early in January, as John and I walked in the snow with our fur-babies we made the decision to move forward with infertility treatments. Hooray! I wasted no time, called my Dr and I began taking Clomid in January. We were thinking we had long road ahead of us but praise God on February 17th at 2:30am I confirmed via a HPT that I was indeed pregnant. HOORAY! YAHOO! Sharing the news with our family and friends was a lot of fun. Since the end of 2006 John and I had been looking into relocation to the Tri-Cities area and I had actually interviewed for a Project Controls position with a well known company in Richland. Well wouldn’t ya know the end of February I received a phone call they wanted to hire me for the position. After much disscussion and prayer we made the decision this was not the right time to relocate. On March 2nd I had my first official OB/GYN apt. We heard the baby’s heart beat for the first time! By early Spring daddy had baby’s room completed! Were not excited or anything. In fact by early summer John was done with his honey do list. In April Amanda turned 14; WOW our little girl is growing up. In May John and I celebrated 6 years of marriage. In June I had my 20 week ultrasound and found out we were having a girl. Little LeAnne Kimberly is on her way! Little girl had her legs crossed and was sitting on them so it made it hard to tell; daddy said good keep them legs crossed. Amanda came to visit for a few weeks the end of June. We made a trip to the Experience Music Project and to Northwest Trek. In July my mom and I made a trip over to Eastern Washington to surprise the Hoyecki family. Then in August a lot of us from the family went over to see the H's roof go up on their house and visit with my Uncle Jay and cousins Steve and Wade. Other than some not so fun morning sickness in the first trimester my pregnancy is going along beautifully. By my 20th week though my blood pressure was on the rise so my Dr began to watch me carefully. Near the end of my pregnancy I was going to the Dr every week so the Dr could monitor the baby and I. Then on September 20th Dr Webb put me on bedrest where I stayed until LeAnne was born. Bed rest was pretty rough but oh do I wish I could have stored up that rest for later. In September Amanda started school as a freshman at Monroe High School. She is on the high school dance team and loves it. Early in the morning on October 11th my water broke and we were off to the hospital! After 12 hours of natural labor LeAnne Kimberly was delivered into her daddy’s hands. She weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. PRAISE GOD our miracle has arrived!!! Being a mama has its overwhelming moments but I couldn’t be more excited to be a mama. John and I look forward to so many things for our daughter. In November she had her first Thanksgiving at her great grandma’s. On Dec 18th she had her 2 month Dr apt – She weighed 10 pounds 3 ounces and was 22 inches long. She’s changing so much every day. She’s been finding her voice and has found her fists. December 21st was my mom’s last day of work, she’s now retired and will watch LeAnne when I go back to work in April. John is still working for Youngs Coulmbia Distributing but is on the look out for a job with the Federal government. See after 9/11 each year of Federal employment can be tacked onto your military time to work towards a military retirement. John only needs 7 more years. John has also had a blast fixing up the Ford Ranger this year and was also bitten by the message board bug. He found a Ford Ranger message board where he can talk trucks with other guys! So here we are Christmas Day 2007, a family. 2008 will be full of many firsts for LeAnne. 2007 was a wonderful year and now 2008 here we come!

Christmas Brunch at Grandpa Larry & Grandma Elaine's

We had a fun brunch at my dad and step-mom's on Saturday. My sister in law Crescent introduced us to 13 minute omlettes, we enjoyed each others company and of course Grandpa and grandma got a kick out of LeAnne all dressed in her Santa Baby outfit. I was touched at how willing my lil bro was to spend time with LeAnne. Here are a few pictures.

2 month apt & Look at LeAnne's Pony

Dr Molina was thrilled with how she looks and what a good baby she was for the whole exam...didn't cry at all. He's happy with what good control she has of her head. We have to do a lil more Tummy time - WOW he said 10 to 15 minutes a day! EEKS! She's not gonna like that! Oh man lil girl didn't like her shots one bit!!!! She's doing well so far tonight! Got Milk?

LeAnne and I went to have drinks (mama drank diet pepsi) with my friends from work last night. It was so much fun seeing everyone! My friend Penny got her the most adorable onsies and bibs that say Got Milk? I LOVE them! Thank-you so much Penny! Great score!! John and I said well have to put one of the bibs on, take her picture when she's got a good milk mustache and send it in. Oh wouldn't that be cool if she won the contest for cutest Got Milk picture. I snapped a pic of her wearing one of the bibs this morning. Thanks again Auntie Penny!

LeAnne has 5 scrap book pages in her baby book!

In the last few days I've been able to almost complete 5 pages in LeAnne's baby book. Some of the pages were just a matter of adding pics and journaling and a few are from scratch. Here are pics of a few of the pages. It feels good to have a few things accomplished. Thanks Gram and Aunt Joyce for putting together the top 2 pages at my baby shower. They're beautiful.

LeAnne got a package from her cousin T*****

On Friday afternoon a package arrived addressed to Lilo Leonard. Lilo is the nickname S***** came up with for LeAnne. We are not sure why, it's kinda cute but there family will be the ONLY ones to call her Lilo. Inside the box was a well wrapped packed, I think T*****used a whole roll of scotch tape...way to go T**** T****** got LeAnne the most adorable pink Santa hat. We were able to get one picture but we'll try to get a pic with all of us in our santa hats before the season is over. Thank-you so much T*****!

No more stinkin thinkin!!!

LeAnne is 8 weeks old today and this mama is turing over a new leaf. No more stinkin thinkin allowed in this brain!! My kidlet is nocturnal at the moment. Sleep is highly over-rated. I need to stop whining, stop being upset, stop being frustrated by lack of sleep and make the best of where m life is right now. I've spent almost 5 years praying for this beautiful miracle. I've had a lot of years where I could do whatever I wanted, when I wanted but all that has changed now so I need to adjust and make the best of what God has blessed me with. I am blessed!!! I love our little girl so much! She is so beautiful! I look forward to all of her life. This phase in her life will pass by entirely too fast for me to waste a second being upset or wishing she'd sleep so I could sleep. I'll try to keep her on some kinda routine during the day, try to incorporate more play time, make sure she gets some good naps and that I take an afternoon nap. Then at night I am going to set up my craft room so she can be in their to play while I scrapbook, listen to music, watch TV, listen to a woman's devotional cd and well just take it from there. Maybe I'll see if an evening drive works good for her or maybe a bath time routine. Bottom line NO MORE CRYING from me! I am a mama now, my life is FOREVER changed, I need to adjust to it, start makin lists on what needs to be done each day, and GET ER DONE!Love ya'll! I apologize for my whining! Thank-you sis for your amazing support, for answering all my questions and telling me how it is. I appreciate you and look up to you! Mama thank-you for sharing your wisdom, thank-you for all your help, thanks for watchin baby girl so I can rest (well when I actually rest) thanks for being there for me to talk to and for being patient with me when I've been grumpy. They don't send home any manuals with these precious bundles, ya just gotta figure it out on your own, experiment and remember at all times to be thankful for them. God truly has blessed me with my daughter. Well the boss is stiring so I'd better get going. :-) I'll post more pictures sometime soon.

LeAnne's First visit with Santa

We went up to Molbaks nursery in Woodinville yesterday to look around. WOW that place is amazing. We dressed LeAnne in her lil Santa's helper outfit, she looked so darn adorable! We got lots of compliments. We had Santa hold her and we got a family photo taken with Santa. :-) It was fun! All and all she did very well, started getting really fussy right before we left and grandma saved the day on the way home by comforting her. Thank God for grandmas! I really like the picture of my mom, LeAnne and I. It was very cool, as we left it started to snow! Oh what a beautiful drive home in the snow. We loved it!!
Too bad, so very sad we had another rough rough night and the snow has turned to rain. :-( LeAnne has a rough time going to sleep, and staying asleep. Between feeding her, pumping and getting her to sleep mama only got a few hours of sleep. Oh this will get better right? Please say yes.
Well daddy is watching LeAnne so mama is gonna go get some sleep. Love ya'll!!
