Crafts & More Snow

Good Morning!  Happy Monday from our winter wonderland.  We have about 4-5 inches here, it's currently snowing, blowing and cold. LeAnne & I had lots of fun this weekend doing crafts and playing in the snow Sunday right before dark.

First snow of the season fun

Yesterday I woke up to our first snow of the season.  We only got maybe 4 inches, it was raining by the time I left for work then warmed up a lot and almost off of the snow it gone now.  We did have enough snow for LeAnne to have some fun and not be too cold either.  John said it was adorable watching her build her snowmen.  Let me back up by telling you when LeAnne woke up at 5:15am I took her to the window and said "do you see what's coming from the sky", she didn't quite comprehend so I took her out on our porch and she screeched "SNOW"! and then told me it was beautiful!  It was precious.  Without further babbling from mama bear here are some pictures of the first snow of 2010 and an adorable video too!!

Wordful Wednesday - The story behind the these pictures...

Good Morning!  I took a few pictures last night hoping to get something great for Wordless Wednesday and while looking and the pictures this morning I see these pictures can't be wordless because they tell a picture and I want to tell the story cause its a good story. So instead of doing it through Wordless Wednesday I found a new blog to link up with that does Wordful Wednesdays.

LeAnne is developing quite the imagination these days that often makes me smile.

Quite the outfit - 2 different pair of PJ (had an accident but didn't want to take princess top off) was looking for her other Cinderella shoe with her horse flashlight. Then every diva must have her sunglasses and Sun hat (behind her, ready to put on)

To the left of her is a picnic all set up.  What's on the menu?  Green beans that were supposed to go with her dinner but she couldn't wait.

Last but not least, the blanket by the curtain is a map to find the ABC's.  We get home yesterday, she grabs her taggie blanket, lays in nicely on the floor, tells me it's a square then folds it up like a map and says she's looking for her ABC.  Then says "Lets do it" and she heads off to find her ABC's.

If you look closely at the picture above you can see she's starting to mix the colors of her play dough. I told her not to mix them once and then walked away to clean up the kitchen.  The next thing I know she has ALL of her colors mixed into one incredible mess.

This is when I saw how much fun she was having and realized so what the colors are mixed.  Is she hurting anything?  Nope!  Is she learning?  Yep!  She made a tall tower, and a few sculptures. Commented on the mess and the smell.  In the long run she had a fun, learned something and mama relaxed a little bit.  :-)

LeAnne's hair cut, and Crafts

It was time for a new hair style to make life easier on all and I am so thankful it turned out ADORABLE!  It was hard to say good bye to her long hair but I won't miss the screaming during combing it.  :-)


 




















The surprised look on her face is because daddy is watching a movie REALLY loud! Sunday Am conversation; LeAnne - see my new pajamas  Me: Yes they're adorable. LeAnne: They have a zipper. Her eyes light up as she shows me how she can zip and unzip them.

It's the little things that make life precious!

LeAnne was our health nut this weekend.  On Saturday she only wanted to eat fresh veggies, fruit, cheese and a little bit of steak. For dinner her and I had thin pieces of apple, cheese, zucchini, carrot then we put them onto wheat thins. YUMMY!! So Sunday I asked her what she wanted for lunch and the only things that sounded good to her was a tortilla, zucchini and baby carrots.  So here I am making us some cookies when I look over to see her putting the zucchini and carrot on the tortilla and rolling it up like a wrap. It actually didn't taste to bad besides needing something on the tortilla so she sprinkled water on it. LOL!!

Car ride conversation Sunday between LeAnne & mama:
LeAnne: (yelling) mama, mama, mama, mama!
Mama: What daughter
LeAnne:  No, I am LeAnne Kimberly Leonard Wing nut Pumpkin

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3,2,1 BLAST off!!  LeAnne had a lot of fun pretending to be a rocket ship. :-)

This, That & one adorable puppy dog

Good Morning loved ones!!  Happy Friday!!  Another week is almost through and it's a girls weekend ahead.  I'm loving the weeks ahead... First comes a possible 4 day weekend for Veterans Day/school conferences, then another break for Thanksgiving and our family is heading to Oregon this year to spend Thanksgiving with John's side of the family.  It's been a while since we've all been together so we are really looking forward to it.  It helps too that LeAnne is a much better  traveling girl now.  We are also very excited to see Amanda, its been way too long.  I have a feeling snow is in our near future, hoping for a white Christmas but certainly don't need a winter like the first winter we lived here. EEKS that was something!  LeAnne is looking forward to building a snowman and making snow angels. 

Speaking of LeAnne... She is so precious!  I love her great big hugs and the way she squeezes me tight.  I cherish each and ever one of her zillion kisses each day!  One of her most recent sayings is "that's funny".  She is having a lot of fun dressing up these days. She loves being a dinosaur and a puppy dog a lot lately.  My favorite nights are when the whole family is home and I know LeAnne loves them too because she says "stay with mom and dad'!  Potty training continues to go well, a few more things to work on and I am hoping she can start preschool in February.   

I need to print princess off some coloring pages before I head to work so here are some recent pictures.  Have a SUPER weekend! Toodles!
